Tangles

Nathan loves him some sticks, string, slinkies and balloons, but what he loves even more is to tangle these items all up together. When I untangle his creations (you know, so that the separate components could be played with separately), he gets mad and then gets to work winding them all back up together. Personally, I believe that the deflated balloons have to hit the trash at some point-- preferably some point when the child is sleeping and can't see me tossing his treasures. Balloon strings are great for a tangle, but as you can see, in the absence of balloons, ribbons will suffice.

The method is to take the objects and spin them together until they entangle. He gets them pretty thoroughly bound together. But, hey!
