The other day, Cianna was fussing. "What do you want? What does Squeaky want", I asked rhetorically. "Up", said Nathan. "What?", I asked him. "Up." He wasn't asking to be picked up; he was answering my question-- Squeaky wants to be picked up. Duh, mom.
Just now Cianna tumbled and was crying. I picked her up and was holding and kissing her. "Kiss," said Nathan. I told him that yes, I was kissing Cianna to help her feel better because she fell and went boom. "Cianna boom", said Nathan. I said "Yes, she fell. Owie. You know what that feels like". Nathan replied "Scared". Well, yeah. Partly she's crying because it hurts but also because falling is scary. Soooo amazed he understood and could verbalize that!
He is quite the big brother, looking out for his Squeak.
